Patong vs kata/karon beach in Phuket. Where to stay?

My husband and I are planning a holiday/honeymoon to Phuket.
My sister recommends Kata or Karon beaches rather than patong, as she has been there.
We would like to relax etc but my husband is quite adventurous and so we would also like to be able to explore and do some outdoor activities etc.
Is it going to be expensive or annoying to travel from Karon to Patong if we want to go shopping, eating, maybe experience the bars and nightlife?
Any recommendations people have would be appreciated.

La playa de Patong y el centro turístico está en el corazón del patong,
si usted quiere relajarse en el hotel que es aceptable. Pero pronto como usted camina hacia fuera 10 locals le atestarán para comprar la materia de ellos. Playa de Patong que usted también conseguirá hasstled por los locals. Kata no está lejos de corazón del patong, un taxi 4$aussi, playa de 10 minutos de Kata que usted puede relajarse sin conseguir pedido comprar algo cada 2 segundos. ¡También las barras y la vida nocturna un eyeopener!!
Kata/Karon is a great place to go. Very family orientated compared Patong and I also would never wish Patong on anyone who wants a nice place to go.
Travelling too and from Kata/Karon to Patong will be very expensive yes, as TukTuks rip you off. You may find it better to rent a couple of Motorbikes so you can explorer together or just one if you are comfortable in driving automatic scooters.
There are many other nice places, but this depends on what you want to do while you are in Phuket. If you want total relaxation then you should choose one of the extremeties of the island, South Nai Harn/Rawai – very calm and relaxation or way up north in Bang Tao or Nai Yang.

Patong ist der touristy Platz als die anderen Strände. So ist es ruhiger, dem ich bin besser für Sie glaube.

Oder Sie können gehen Inselhopfen, Inselerholungsortaufenthalt, Fischen etc. Sie können eine angemessene Spitze durchaus finden, um zu tun. I'd love to stay in Karon beach because there is very quiet and less of ppl. You can relax during your day and then you can drive to pathong beach (about 5 min drive) and enjoy other activities.About moving around these beaches, it will be easy if you hire the car. Local transportation is not bad but as a tourist you may be charged unlike local. I've spend about 100-200 for taxi from karon to pathong. 300 from city to pathong and about 500-700 from pathong to a/p. (hire car about 1000-1200 / day)
