How to travel to phuket from malaysia?

im planning to have a holiday in Phuket, Thailand this May(maybe)…so now im planning for it…and i need anything that will help me planning my holiday such as the place that i can visit when im in phuket…what the interesting and exciting activities that they have there and mostly how to plan on my budget…and the most important thing is that…i wanna know ho do i go there by bus from Malaysia(penang)…cuz i dont want to waste so much money on my flight ticket…

Get the ferry from Penang to Butterworth take a train over the border into Thailand once you reach Hat Yai its probably best to then get a coach direct to Phuket. The coach station is pretty central in Phuket town and then if you want to stay nearer the beach you can get a bus to Patong, Karon or Kata beach resorts. If you stay in Phuket town stay at the Phuket Backpacker Hostel – clean and modern with free internet and they can also arrange ferry and transfers to Phi Phi Island which has even better beaches than the mainland.
